Event Feature: Baby Girl’s First Birthday Party

first birthday party

As a first time mom, you look forward to the big milestones: baby’s first smile, first time crawling, walking, first words and of course…the very first birthday. Such a momentous occasion calls for a proper party to celebrate two things: your little babe turning one, obviously, but also your one year milestone as a mother. It was touch and go there for a while, wasn’t it? With the no sleep, constant googling and learning, endless diapers and spit up – but guess what? You made it, mama! And you have more love in your life now than you ever thought was possible. When I look  back on the first year, I wouldn’t trade a moment of it (even the poop explosions) because every moment with my daughter has created beautiful memories to last a lifetime.

When Blake turned one, I wanted her very first birthday to be something special. I wanted her to be surrounded by family and friends who love her and have helped her grow over the past 12 months. I wanted visually appealing decor and delicious food, and professional photos detailing every moment. Two of the best decisions I made in preparation for the party, were partnering with Starry Eyed Events and Alexandra Heckaman Photography. Both of these vendors helped Blake celebrate her very first birthday with a ton of style and a lot of love.
