Our 5 Favorite Pregnancy Sites

pregnancy websites

Now, in the second trimester of my second pregnancy, I find myself relying on the same pregnancy sites and apps that I used during my first pregnancy. Even though I’ve  been through this before, I’ve somehow blocked a lot of the information from my memory. It’s nice to have these great resources to look back on or reference when I have questions throughout the 9 long months of pregnancy! Here are our 5 favorite pregnancy sites and apps we recommend for expecting mamas:

pregnancy websites

1. Pregnant Chicken:

This site has everything you need to know about pregnancy, including a week-by-week email that keeps you updated on what’s going on when. Humorous and blunt, their emails, and website for that matter, never disappoint in entertaining. However, they’re also super informational, especially when it comes to all of the do’s and don’ts during pregnancy.

2. Lucie’s List:

A survival guide of sorts – this website has informational articles on pregnancy, parenting and baby products, with a funny, down-to-earth tone that most can relate to. She also has the best baby registry cheat sheet ever, perfect for new moms who don’t have any idea what sort of gear they’ll need for baby. I’ll also be using her “How to potty train” tips when my daughter turns 20 months (more to come on this topic).

3.  Prenatal Workouts by Power 20:

Available for Android and iOS, this app provides effective and safe prenatal workouts, based on you current trimester. Love this because it’s so easy to pull up on your phone and complete the short 20 minute routine in the comfort of your own home.

4. Kelly Mom:

An evidence-based website for all things pregnancy, breastfeeding and parenting. The author is a certified lactation consultant, so I’ve always found all of her articles on breastfeeding extremely helpful, especially in those first few months when breastfeeding is hard!

5. BabyCenter:

I’ve used this site and app for both of my pregnancies, and it is definitely helpful! I love the weekly emails that remind you how far along you are, what’s going on with your baby developmentally and what’s going on with you and your body. There are also some great forums on the site if you ever have any questions or just need some encouragement! It’s also a great resource for all of your post-baby questions!

Are you pregnant? What is your go-to site or app? We’d love to hear!

  1. For me, I kept going back to whattoexpect.com for my questions and info. I had my first baby 6 months ago now and it is zipping by too fast! I just got her little ears pierced and WE both cried... But that first site you have listed is sure funny and "keeps it real!"
